Startup Boom: Over 16 Lakh Jobs Created In India – See The Industry-Wise List

As part of the Startup India initiative, the Government is continually working to foster the growth and development of the startup ecosystem, with a focus on boosting job creation nationwide. Startups recognized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) as per the eligibility criteria outlined in G.S.R. notification 127 (E) dated February 19, 2019, have reportedly generated over 16.6 lakh direct employment opportunities across more than 55 diverse industries, including non-tech sectors.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has published a detailed breakdown of startup-generated jobs by different industries.

Startup Boom: Industry-Wise List

Given below is the industry-wise breakdown of direct jobs created by DPIIT-recognized startups as of October 31, 2024.
