Amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, Israel’s Foreign Ministry on Thursday said that Soroka Hospital, located in Be’er Sheva, has suffered a direct hit. In a post on X, the Ministry stated, “BREAKING: A direct hit has been reported at Soroka Hospital in Beersheba, southern Israel. In a statement on X, IDF said, “Several hits were identified as a result of the missile barrage–one of them hitting the largest hospital in southern Israel.” IDF previously shared the news, in which it mentioned that millions of Israeli people are running to take shelter after sirens were sounded following an Iranian missile launch.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took to his X, stating, “This morning, Iran’s terrorist tyrants launched missiles at Soroka Hospital in Beersheba and at a civilian population in the center of the country.” He further warned, “We will exact the full price from the tyrants in Tehran.”

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar shared a video of the assault, featuring the affected hospital. He wrote, “The Iranian regime fired a ballistic missile at a hospital. The Iranian regime deliberately targets civilians. The Iranian regime is committing war crimes. The Iranian regime has no red lines.” Additionally, the Iranian missiles have targeted multiple other locations in the country, including the city of Tel Aviv. The Israeli stock exchange building was also damaged by the missile, Al Jazeera reported.
