Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor and designer Sunita Kapoor’s youngest daughter Rhea Kapoor has been dating Karan Boolani for the last thirteen years and their bond has grown stronger with each passing day. They often express their love for each other on social media and make people gush with their mushy posts. Even though many have been expecting the two to tie the knot soon, reports suggesting that the couple may take their wedding vows today (August 14) has left everyone shocked.
As per a few reports, Sonam Kapoor’s sister Rhea is finally gearing up for her wedding with her BF Karan Boolani. While the duo has opted to get hitched via court marriage, hush-hush celebrations are planned to take place at Anil Kapoor’s Juhu residence. Only their families and close friends will be in attendance at the wedding.
As per a report by India Today, the wedding ceremony will be a two or three-day affair. However, an official spokesperson for the Kapoor family is yet to confirm the same.
Sister Sonam recently returned to India from London, seemingly to attend her sister’s marriage. She has been trying to strike a balance between work and personal life and has been juggling between London and Mumbai since she got hitched with Anand Ahuja.
Coming to their work front, Rhea Kapoor is a producer, entrepreneur and stylist while Karan Boolani is a filmmaker who is credited with many ad commercials. He has also assisted the director in several films like Aisha and Wake Up Sid. Rhea also owns an apparel brand called Rheson along with her sister Sonam.
Rhea donned the producer’s cap for the 2010 film Aisha, the 2014 film Khoobsurat and the 2018 film Veere Di Wedding. In an interview, she talked about the challenges of being a female producer in a male-dominated industry.
On Kareena Kapoor Khan’s chat show What Women Want, Rhea said, “When I started to work, I was faced with a lot of patronising attitudes like, ‘She is just here playing film-film. She is not really serious about it.’ Or that I was stupid or I didn’t know what I was talking about. And if I face that as Anil Kapoor’s daughter, I can’t imagine what other women go through. You feel very demotivated because making a film is anyway a mammoth task.”
