Sidharth Shukla has made his digital debut with Broken But Beautiful 3. The third installment of the web series is now streaming on ALTBalaji. The handsome hunk of Indian TV is paired opposite Sonia Rathee in the web series. Sidharth plays the role of Agastya Rao (a theatre director) whereas Sonia essays the character of Rumi Desai. While the audience is now watching Broken But Beautiful 3, Sidharth’s family saw a few glimpses of the show in advance.
During an exclusive interview with Times Now Digital, Sidharth spoke about his family’s reaction, revealed why he took up Broken But Beautiful 3, shed light on his equation with Sonia Rathee and more. Revealing his mother and family’s reaction to the series, Sidharth said, “My mom, my sisters and our entire family have loved the glimpses they have seen so far.”
The actor further mentioned the reason why he decided to take up BBB 3 as his first OTT project. “When I first read the script, I could relate to Agastya a lot. There have been times when I have gone through similar situations or felt similarly emotionally. And hence, for me, one of the main reasons I loved Agastya’s character is that he’s very real, very relatable. He isn’t perfect but I don’t think any of us are and he’s on a journey like many of us in our respective careers and fields, to accomplish his vision in life,” said Sidharth.
Sidharth went on to add that his equation with his co-star Sonia was great. The actor stated that he tried to ensure that the atmosphere was fun so that Sonia would feel comfortable as it was her first show. “And two people working together shouldn’t feel like strangers, hence it’s always good to joke around and break the ice,” he said.
Talking about his drunk scene in the series, Sidharth stated that he was a little apprehensive about getting it right. “There’s a fine line where one can either overdo or underplay in such a scene and I have never really played drunk in any of my past projects. Hence, I was a little apprehensive about getting it right but after we completed the scene, my director and team were confident that it’s gone well,” said Sidharth
On the work front, the actor was previously seen in TV shows like Balika Vadhu, Dil Se Dil Tak, Love U Zindagi, and more. He has also done popular reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi 7, Bigg Boss 13 and Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa 6.
