Shehnaaz Gill surprised her fans last year when her transformation photos went viral. The actress revealed that she had lost 12 kg in a matter of months. Although she did not go through a special lifestyle change, she shared that she resorted to proportional eating in which she reduced her diet proportions over a period of time.
Recently, Shehnaaz Gill opened up about the food dishes that she cooks and that according to her diet. The actress told Zoom TV in an interview while promoting her film Honsla Rakh that she makes dal (lentils) but no one can eat it. It so happened that actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh was asked that there are several references to food in Honsla Rakh and he is already known as the Insta chef, so would he be interested in a cooking show or be a chef in the future.
To this, he said he will definitely do a cooking show if he paid well and it will be very entertaining. “Na toh mere jaise koi cook kar sakta hai na usko koi masaledaar bana sakta hai (Neither can anyone cook like me nor can they make it with lots of masala),” he said.
He then asked Shehnaaz if she wants to do a cooking show and the latter replied that she doesn’t have a problem featuring in one. However, Sonam Bajwa said, “Wo toh khaana hi nahi khaati (She doesn’t eat food only.)
Shehnaaz interjected and said that she can cook dal and chawal (lentils and rice). “Mein dal chawal banati hun but jo meri dal toh hai na wo alag type ki hoti hai. Wo bahut hi matlab khaane layak nahi hoti. But wo diet wali hoti hai (I can make dal and chawal but no one can eat the dal I make. Because it for a particular diet).” She later told Diljit if he is in a cooking show then she will come and entertain the audience while he cooks.
Honsla Rakh features Shehnaaz, Diljit and Sonam in lead roles. The trio has been promoting their film for a while now. Shehnaaz recently made headlines for releasing a music video, titled Tu Yaheen Hai as a tribute to late rumoured boyfriend Sidharth Shukla, who passed away at the age of 40 due to cardiac arrest. Both Shehnaaz and Sidharth, known as SidNaaz by their fans, were together in the Bigg Boss 13 house.
