Indian pacer Shardul Thakur who is also famous with the name of ‘lord’ among his fans hasn’t been able to make it to the national team due to the rising competition in the side and his poor form in the past. However, Shardul was among the key members of the Indian team until the end of 2022 wherein he helped the Indian team win many matches not only with his skills with the bat but also with the ball. While the Indian team is all set to play against in the five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 series, Shardul is once again missing from the side.

Shardul Thakur made some necessary contributions with the bat during Team India’s historic win against Australia at ‘The Gabba’. While speaking on IANS, Shardul spoke regarding his feelings after missing out from Team India’s squad of the Australian tour. He stated that he didn’t get any any communication from the team management whereas he has also admitted the fact that he has just comeback from surgery and as the Australian tour is a long one opportunities can come anytime for him.

Shardul Thakur said, “I haven’t had any communication yet. But right now, I have just returned from surgery, so it’s obvious that’s the reason I am not on the team at the moment. However, my fitness is in great shape now, and since the Australia tour is a long one, opportunities can come anytime.”

Shardul Thakur underwent a surgery and is currently playing domestic cricket for Mumbai. Shardul has a brilliant game sense and has a lot of variations in his armory to trap the batter. If he is able to make a place back into the side he can prove to an asset for the team.
