Scan And Secure: Bharat NCAP’s QR Code Sticker For Car Safety

The Bharat New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) has introduced safety-rated QR code stickers for cars to raise awareness about vehicle safety. By scanning the QR code on the sticker, customers can easily access information about a car’s safety features.

NCAP will provide QR code stickers to automakers whose vehicles have been crash-tested under the safety program. These stickers will display the manufacturer’s name, vehicle or model name, testing date, and safety star ratings for adults and children. Scanning the sticker will give detailed information about the vehicle.

TATA Motors Vehicles Have Undergone Crash Tests

Currently, Tata Motors has several vehicles that have undergone crash tests, including the Tata Safari, Harrier, Nexon EV, and Punch EV. Bharat NCAP has awarded these models 5-star ratings for both adult and child occupant safety.

India’s Bharat NCAP: Boosting Vehicle Safety Awareness With New Crash-Test Ratings

Last year, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, in partnership with Global NCAP, launched the Bharat NCAP safety ratings. This crash-testing policy made India the fifth country in the world to implement such a safety system. At the time of the announcement, the Road Transport Union Minister stated that they had already received more than 30 requests for crash tests under this voluntary safety program.

The slogan “More Stars, Safer Cars” reflects Bharat NCAP’s goal to raise safety awareness for all new vehicles and reduce accident rates. The organization believes this initiative will help car buyers make more informed decisions by understanding the safety features of the vehicles.
