Piyush Goyal, The commerce minister of India went out on a diplomatic mission to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia . He went on to make some impactful strides in the Indo-Saudi relationship. This Diplomatic meeting included high-level meetings and cultural engagements.

Future Investment Summit

It began with Minister Goyal participating as a panelist at the Future Investment Summit, totally aimed at tracking global business and investment trends. He went over to Lulu Hypermarket in Riyadh to launch “Lulu Wali Diwali,” the celebration of Diwali.

The “Lulu Wali Diwali” event is an event run by the popular Lulu Hypermarket chain. This event is a celebration of the Diwali in Saudi Arabia. This event was majorly established for cultural exchange. Aiming to introduce Indian culture in Saudi Arabia.

Diplomatic Meetings For A Potential Indian Future

This includes a meeting of Minister Goyal with the CEO of General Atlantic, William E. Ford. He discussed the possibilities of cooperation in India’s health sector, especially with consumer health services. Both of them also discussed plans to scale up GCCs in all industries in India.

The Minister also met the CEO of Schneider Electric, Peter Herweck. The meeting was conducted to discuss how India’s capabilities can support sustainable energy solutions. Schneider Electric is known to do energy management and digital automation. In the meeting with Minister Goyal, Peter Herwerk shared about future planning. The plan is to expand Schneider Electric in India with a little advancement and efficient solutions.

Indian Minister, Piyush Goyal, also scheduled to engage in an important and diplomatic meeting of the Strategic Partnerships Council. He will co-chair the Economy and Investment Pillar meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Energy Minister. The list has the Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Al Khorayef and the Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih, to expand their collaboration.

The day concluded with community events and the closing ceremony of Pravasi Parichay, where the cultural and diplomatic relations between India and Saudi Arabia were strengthened.
