Sanjay Raut On Aaditya Thackeray’s Alleged Role In Disha Salian’s Death Case: ‘They (BJP Leaders) Are Giving Wind To The Case To Wash Their Hands Off Of The Aurangzeb Issue’

Disha Salian’s father Satish Salian filed a plea in the Bombay High Court seeking a CBI probe an FIR against Aaditya Thackeray into his daughter’s death who died on June 8, 2020, in Mumbai’s Malad by allegedly jumping off a high-rise apartment.  Disha Salian was a former manager of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Disha Salian’s father moved the court nearly five years after her death and it raised several questions by the opposition parties, especially Aadtitya Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT).

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut said, “I have looked at the police investigation, and it was an accident, not a murder… Her father has filed a petition five years after the incident. The whole state knows the politics behind this petition… These people could not thrive on the Aurangzeb issue they raised, the tide of which turned against them. They are giving wind to the Disha Salian case to wash their hands off of the Aurangzeb issue… This dirty politics is defaming our state’s name. This is an attempt to malign the name of a youth leader who is doing good work and our party…”

Maharashtra minister and BJP leader Nitesh Rane said the truth would come out in court and the guilty would be punished.

Nitesh Rane said, “…Disha Salian’s father took the names of Aditya Thackeray, Sooraj Pancholi and Dino Morea. The court will give directions and an inquiry will be conducted based on that… Our MLA, Ameet Satam, raised this issue in the House today. The entire history was told of how everything happened. This case happened during the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, how it was covered up, how CCTV footage was made to disappear, how pressure was put on doctors… Her father has accused that the postmortem report was changed… The truth will come out in the court and whoever is guilty of this will definitely be punished.”

Disha Salian’s father’s lawyer, Nilesh C Ojha said, “At the time she (Disha Salian) was murdered, there was Uddhav Thackeray govt in power in the state. Since his (Uddhav Thackeray) son, Aaditya Thackeray, was the accused, the corrupt police officials covered up the case. After 2.5 years, when Shinde sahab govt came to power, where Fadnavis sahab was the Home Minister. In this matter, we filed a PIL in Sept 2023 stating that FIR should be registered and action should be taken. In Dec 2023, Shinde govt constituted an SIT in this matter. On 12th January 2024, a written complaint was filed accusing Aaditya Thackeray, Suraj Pancholi and others of gang rape. FIR was not registered for more than one year. The affidavit filed by Aaditya Thackeray stated lies that he was given a clean chit by the CBI in the case. There is also proof that Anil Deshmukh didn’t want any action (on Aaditya Thackeray).”
