Broken But Beautiful 3 actress Saloni Khanna married Naamkarann actor Viraf Patell, on May 6. The couple, who had been dating for a few years, had a simple court wedding in Bandra with only a few people in attendance. After marrying the love of her life, the actress is extremely happy and enjoying the new phase of her life. In an exclusive interview with Times Now Digital, Saloni got candid about her love life, revealed the reason why Viraf gave her a rubber band instead of a wedding ring and more.
As Saloni got chatty about her love life with Viraf, we asked the actress if it was love at first sight for her. In response to this, the actress said, “For me, it wasn’t love at first sight. It was friendship at first sight. We met when we were doing an episode together for SonyLIV. Instantly we got along so well and clicked.”
While it started off as a friendship for Saloni, the actress revealed how she eventually fell in love with Viraf. “I think, I was a chai lover and he makes the best chai in the world. I think that (his) chai is what got me sold. He made me the best chai in the world and I was like ‘if this man can make me this chai for the rest of my life, I am in (laughs)’. Eventually, friendship turned into love and now there’s no looking back,” said Saloni.
The actress, who will be next seen in Broken But Beautiful 3, also revealed the story behind Viraf giving her a rubber band instead of a wedding ring. “The story was that I told him one thing that I don’t want anything but I want a ring. Because that is the one thing that I am going to wear for the rest of my life and which is going to be the memoir of our wedding date. But due to everything being shut, he tried to arrange a ring but he couldn’t. He knew that he couldn’t get a ring, so he took out the rubber band motive,” Saloni revealed.
Saloni further mentioned that Viraf wanted to make their wedding day memorable and bring a smile to her face. And as per Saloni, her husband succeeded in doing so. The actress concluded by saying that her better half always wants to make people smile and he did bring a smile to her face by his gesture.
