Salman Khan Delays UK Tour After Pahalgam Terror Attack: ‘We Feel It Is Only Right To Pause’

Bollywood star Salman Khan has announced the postponement of his UK Tour of The Bollywood Big One, in response to the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir. The shows was scheduled for May 4 and 5 in Manchester and London have been put on hold as a mark of respect for the victims. Salman took to Instagram on Monday morning to share an update about the delay of the show with a bold “Postponed” label across the poster.

Salman wrote, “In light of the recent tragic events in Kashmir, and with profound sadness, we have taken the difficult decision to postpone The Bollywood Big One shows, originally scheduled for May 4th and 5th in Manchester and London.” The actor added, “While we understand how much our fans were looking forward to these performances, we feel it is only right to pause during this time of grief. We sincerely apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause and deeply appreciate your understanding and support. New dates for the shows will be announced shortly.”

The tour was set to feature several Bollywood celebrities alongside Salman, including Madhuri Dixit Nene, Sara Ali Khan, Tiger Shroff, Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover, and Maniesh Paul.

Salman had earlier reacted to the Pahalgam attack on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Kashmir, heaven on planet Earth, is turning into hell. Innocent people are being targeted. My heart goes out to their families. Ek bhi innocent ko marna puri kainaat ko marne ke barabar hai (Killing even one innocent person is equal to killing the entire universe).”

Not just Salman, other Bollywood artists also cancelled their scheduled events following the tragic incident. Singer Arijit Singh called off his concert in Chennai, while Shreya Ghoshal’s show, which was planned for April 26 in Surat, was also cancelled.

About The Pahalgam Terror Attack

The attack took place on April 22 in the Baisaran Valley and claimed at least 28 lives and over 20 people were injured. It is being said as one of the deadliest in the Valley since the 2019 Pulwama strike in which 40 CRPF jawans were killed.
