Sajjan Jindal Gifting SUVs To Indian Olympians, Details Inside

Sajjan Jindal announced on X that his company will gift a SUV to every Olympic medalist. He shared this generous plan to reward athletes for their outstanding achievements. He stated on X, “Our champions deserve the finest for their dedication and success.”

Who Is Sajjan Jindal

Sajjan Jindal is an Indian billionaire industrialist. He leads the JSW Group, which operates in steel, mining, energy, sports, infrastructure, and software. He served as the chairman of the World Steel Association for 2021-22, succeeded by Jeong-Woo Choi of POSCO. Jindal also played a key role in founding the Indian Steel Association in 2014.

SUV for Champions

Sajjan Jindal, Chairman and Managing Director of JSW Group, announced that he will give an MG Windsor car to every Indian athlete who wins a medal at the Paris Olympics.

The announcement followed Morris Garages India’s unveiling of its new SUV, the MG Windsor, in partnership with JSW Group. Jindal’s post has received almost 90,000 views on the micro-blogging platform.

The new MG Windsor EV will come with two battery pack options: a 37.9kWh pack that provides a range of 360 kilometers on a single charge, and a 50.6kWh pack that offers a range of 460 kilometers. In India, it will compete with electric cars like the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400.

The announcement has been praised by netizens. One user commented, “What a great initiative to promote sports and support our Olympians!” Another user,  said, “What a wonderful way to show love for the country and its athletes! Proud of JSW’s initiative.”

It’s also noteworthy that JSW Group is responsible for this year’s official Olympic uniform for Team India. According to the company’s website, “The outfit represents India’s unique culture and landscape, and it is designed with advanced features to enhance athletic performance.”
