Star Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh is on the cusp of achieving a new feat in the T20I format. He will be eyeing to break the record of most wickets by an Indian bowlers in Men’s T20Is in one calendar year. 14 matches has been played in this year and Arshdeep Singh has taken 28 wickets with an economy of 7.14. His personal best performance came in T20 World Cup 2024 against USA when he claimed 4 wickets in 4 overs and gave away just 9 runs.

 

Arshdeep Set to Surpass Bhuvneshwar’s T20I Record

Currently, Bhuvneshwar Kumar is holding the record of Most T20I wickets in a year that is 37 wickets in 32 matches with an economy of 6.98. Arshdeep Singh stands at the second place with 33 wickets in 21 matches at an economy of 8.17. He is likely to surpass Bhuvneshwar Kumar when he plays the T20I series against South Africa that will start from November 8.

Arshdeep Singh’s Excellence In T20Is

Arshdeep Singh has been an excellent bowlers, in the T20I format he has 87 wickets in 56 matches with an economy of 8.28. If he continues with this dashing form he will become India’s all-time leading wicket-taker he just need 10 more wickets to do so.
