Russia sent the United States its stance on Ukraine Monday, replying to Washington’s letter on resolving the crisis last week, a State Department spokesperson said.

The official would not divulge the contents of Moscow’s letter, but it came just hours before the two sides’ top diplomats are to speak by phone on the crisis on Tuesday.
