Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Indresh Kumar condemned the alleged hate speeches made at Dharam Sansad in Haridwar against the Muslim community. He urged strict action against people making provocative and divisive statements.

Expressing his views on the alleged hate speeches delivered at a Dharma Sansad in Haridwar and in Chhattisgarh’s Raipur, the RSS leader said people making such statements should be punished as per law without any exception.

“Any kind of hate speech is condemnable. All hate speeches must be condemned and punished as per law. Nobody should be treated as an exception,” Kumar said while speaking to PTI.

He urged the political fraternity to refrain from dividing the society into communal lines and asked them to practice “politics of brotherhood and development”.

Kumar came down hard at Congress and other Opposition parties which target RSS over the killing of Mahatma Gandhi. Taking on the grand old party and other outfits, the Sangh leader said for 60 years RSS and its ideology has blamed for the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi, but they were not able to prove the allegations even after being in power for decades.

The RSS leader also targeted Congress MP Rahul Gandhi over ‘Hindutvawadi’ had shot Mahatma Gandhi dead remark. Kumar said such a statement is also hate speech. He, however, did not name Rahul Gandhi.

“All hate speeches should be looked at through the same prism. We cannot make a distinction between one set of action or speech with the other while both are the same in its nature and essence hateful, provocative and divisive,” the Sangh leader stressed.

Kumar stressed that taking strict action against all those who deliver hate speeches is the need of the hour, and advocated for action in accordance with the law again the culprit “no matter how big and influential they are or which party or group they belong to”.
