RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Reaches Out To Dalits On Vijayadashami, Urges Hindu Society To Overcome Caste Differences

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat addressed the RSS cadres at its headquarters in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Mohan Bhagwat was delivering his annual speech on occasion of Vijayadashmi. He claimed that there is a ‘deep state’ at work to divide the country on basis of caste and community lines. Bhagwat criticized the political parties over their interest which he called ‘selfish.’ He said that their selfish interests have become crucial than the integrity, harmony and pride of the nation. It goes beyond the national interest, he added.

Bhagwat stated, “Our diversity has become such that we have even divided our saints and deities. Why should Valmiki Jayanti be celebrated only in Valmiki colony? Valmiki wrote Ramayana for the entire Hindu society. So, all should celebrate Valmiki Jayanti and Ravidas Jayanti together. All festivals should be celebrated together by the entire Hindu society. We will go to the society with this message.”

He urged that we should draw inspiration from personalities like Ahilyabai Holkar, Dayananda Saraswati, Birsa Munda and others who devoted their lives to the country’s welfare, dharma, culture and society.

He also addressed the Bangladesh issue and said that due to the crisis, Hindus were attacked and atrocities were inflicted on them. But for the first time, the Hindus of Bangladesh came together on streets to safeguard themselves and protect their rights. He said the minorities including Hindus and others in Bangladesh are not safe until the radicalism ideology of inflicting trouble on weak is given up. He stressed that Hindus of Bangladesh need help of the Hindus across the world and of Indian Government also. If we are unorganized and weak then we are inviting atrocities, added Bhagwat.

He further added, “We have such a big and diverse society, to create that diversity as a division, or to divide even when there is no diversity but to make them think that we are diverse and hence we are aloof – giving such narration – to agitate people, to create an environment when the society loses faith and start disrespecting govt, law & order, administration – it helps in establishing supremacy over the country by remaining abroad.

Speaking on the ongoing conflicts in the world and alternate politics, Bhagwat said, “Today’s war is not like what we used to have earlier. In such conditions, they knowingly and unknowingly get friends within the country as we are a democratic country and different political parties are here with some friction, they run these things through alternate politics, taking sides of one without being there on the ground – when political parties keep their interest above society and the unity of the country. It’s not mere conspiracies that I am telling, that is happening all over India, especially in the bordering states, we all can see it.”

How Did leaders React To Mohan Bhagwat’s Speech?

Speaking to ANI, on RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s speech, Delhi minister and AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj said daughters of the country aren’t safe, be it Manipur, wrestlers or doctors. He should first think about his own country and then take responsibility of anywhere else. He should work on uniting the country first as he himself spreads poison of caste politics to contest election.
