Indian captain Rohit Sharma hasn’t had the best of times as the captain of the India national cricket team in the past few months. Sharma who led the Indian team in historic T20 World Cup 2024 triumph, has come under scrutiny due to few flop performances in Test cricket. The latter has taken some decisions which affected Team India’s performances and probably also became the reason behind loss. The Indian team was shaken with a 3-0 defeat in the three-match Test series against New Zealand, whereas they ended up losing the second Test in Adelaide against Australia after registering a thumping win in the first Test in Perth.

Rohit Sharma has led the Indian team in 22 Tests as of now out of which, Team India has ended up winning 12 matches followed by eight losses. Two games have ended up in draws. The latter also led the Indian team in the World Test Championship 2023 final against Australia, however, the India ended up losing the match by a margin of 209 runs. Despite having an ICC trophy in his bank, Rohit’s record in Test cricket hasn’t been much pleasing for the Indian team fans.

Rohit Sharma has led the Indian team to many famous wins through out his cricketing career. Rohit’s career received a new life when his batting order was changed and came down to open from middle order. Sharma holds the record of the highest score in ODI cricket and has slammed three double hundreds. However, the batter is towards the later half of his international career and needs to perform with the bat to prove his worth.
