TV personality Rochelle Rao has come a long way from where she started. In the television industry, she began her journey by participating in the reality show Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa. Later, she did Khatron Ke Khiladi 5 as a contestant and entered Bigg Boss 9 house with her now-husband Keith Sequeira. Apart from doing the reality shows, Rochelle played the part of a nurse and a character name Lottery in The Kapil Sharma Show. She recently reunited with the TKSS star cast and joined the new season as Lottery.

Recently, in an exclusive conversation with Times Now Digital, Rochelle Rao stated that she got a push in the entertainment industry, because of Miss India Pageant. However, there were certain struggles that she faced in the world of showbiz

“One of the things which was a big struggle for me was language because I came from the South. I am from Tamil Nadu and everyone speaks Tamil there. There’s a lot less of Hindi. Definitely (speaking) Hindi was a struggle for me (while) starting out. And also the fact that I don’t have a very typical look. I have slightly more edge in the eyes. So people would always make comments about my eyes,” said Rao.

The TKSS member further revealed people judged the way she looked. Rochelle made comments like, ‘Oh! your eyes are very small. You won’t be able to do those Bollywood expressions’. However, she didn’t let such comments take a toll on her.

“I didn’t let any of those things stop me. When any good work came my way and I took it up and I gave it my best shot. And the amazing thing is that both of those weaknesses of mine have become my strength. (Now) people love the way I look and people love the way I speak Hindi. I am the only person who has converted people who are speaking good Hindi also into my bad Hindi,” said Rochelle

Meanwhile, Rochelle also expressed happiness over reuniting with The Kapil Sharma Show members. The TV personality stated that her first day on the sets of The Kapil Sharma Show was good. But at the same time, Rochelle quipped, “I was nervous and I am always nervous with all of these guys. They are really good actors and amazing comedians.”
