RJD Crisis: Tej Pratap Yadav hits out at ‘traitors’, accuses insiders of targeting sister Rohini Acharya, says, ‘We will not…’

The ongoing feud inside the Yadav family took another sharp turn on Monday, as Tej Pratap Yadav publicly lashed out at those he believes targeted his sister, Rohini Acharya. In a strongly worded post on X, Tej Pratap said he would ‘not tolerate’ any insult to Rohini and warned that those responsible ‘will have to pay the price.’ His message made it clear that he sees the controversy not just as a family disagreement but as an attack on dignity and respect.

Tej Pratap said the treatment meted out to his sister had ‘shaken’ him deeply. Without naming anyone directly, he accused a few people close to the family and the party of acting like ‘traitors.’ He added that any attempt to hurt the family would not be forgiven by the people of Bihar. He also appealed to his father, Lalu Prasad Yadav, to step in and take charge of the situation, saying one signal from him would be enough for supporters to stand up against those causing trouble.

Rohini’s exit adds fuel to the fire

His remarks come just days after Rohini Acharya announced she was stepping away from politics and distancing herself from the family. In her social media posts, she claimed she had faced humiliation and had been pushed aside after raising concerns over the RJD’s performance in the recent Bihar elections. Her decision triggered a fresh wave of tension, with reports suggesting that a few of Lalu’s other daughters also left the family home.

The dispute has now spilled fully into the public space, with leaders and party workers closely watching how the situation unfolds. While Tejashwi Yadav and other senior RJD members have remained silent, Tej Pratap’s sharp words indicate that the family conflict is far from easing. His comments reflect just how high the stakes have become in what was once considered a private family dispute, now very much playing out in the public eye.
