Riddle and Randy Orton will be chasing the elusive Raw Tag Team Championship at SummerSlam 2021. The team of RK-Bro reunited on this week’s Monday Night Raw and will be squaring off against the team of AJ Styles and Omos. The duo has remained undefeated since winning the titles at Wrestlemania 37 but has a tough task at hand at the Biggest Party of the Summer.

While the RK-Bro pairing will aim to win their maiden Raw tag team titles, Sheamus will be defending his United States Championship against Damien Priest. It was at Wrestlemania 37 where Riddle lost his US Championship to Sheamus and hasn’t got a rematch yet.

So does he think that he deserves a rematch for the championship? Speaking to Timesnownews.com, Riddle talked about it and said that they (he and Randy) are looking at Tag Team Championship right now. Riddle’s run as the US Champion lasted for less than 50 days.

“You know a lot of people feel like they lose the championship and they go you deserve a rematch. I am one of those guys – if my girlfriend breaks up with me, I am not gonna chase her down the mountain. I gonna say, “hey, you want over, it’s over.” Sheamus kicks me in the face at Wrestlemania and he took United States Championship away from me. I did want it back but Sheamus did a good job. He beat me fair and square. He didn’t do anything underhanded and he beat me at Wrestlemania, the grandest stage of them all,” Riddle told Timesnownews.

“I think it would have been childish for me to try to reclaim my championship. And honestly, I think travito wanted to get a different experience. So travito is on Sheamus’s ways but who knows how much that wil last long. You have Ricochet coming after that, The have got Damien Priest coming after. I don’t, know how much longer the title gonna stay with Sheamus but I am not worried about it. I try to look into the future instead of looking in the past. So when I lose a championship, I am not trying to get that championship back. I want to see where I can go next after that championship. And I think we are looking at those Raw Tag Team Championships titles right now. Hopefully, I and Randy Orton.”

After being away from action for nearly 50 days, Randy made his in-ring comeback last week. He has been in the ring since then but will he be ready for the all-important match at SummerSlam?

“Randy has been regarding the batteries. We gonna be busy, busy. I think he is just recharging the batteries, taking it easy before we are back on the road full time. Randy is ready, he is ready to make a comeback and make some magic with RK-bro,” responded Riddle.

Orton is a former tag team champion while Riddle hasn’t won the title yet.
