‘Remove AI Video of PM Modi and His Mother from Social Media’: High Court Directs Congress

The Patna High Court has directed Congress to remove the AI-generated video of PM Narendra Modi and his late mother from social media. The alleged video featured Modi and his late mother, Heerban, which was generated by Bihar’s Congress unit. The court has issued a clear directive for the immediate removal of the controversial video from all digital platforms.

The complaint was filed by Sanket Gupta, Convenor of the BJP Delhi Election Cell, who alleged that the video maligned the Prime Minister’s image and insulted women’s dignity. The FIR has been registered under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, including forgery, defamation, criminal conspiracy, and intentional insult with the intent to provoke breach of peace.

The issue has led to strong political reactions. The BJP accused Congress and its ally RJD of repeatedly attacking Modi and his family. Just a few days ago, an unknown person disrupted the Congress-led Voter Adhikar Yatra in Darbhanga and shouted abuses at the Prime Minister and his mother.
