Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood is ready to strengthen the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) squad on the eve of the IPL 2025 playoffs. Sources on hand with the developments confirm that the veteran quick bowler will arrive in India by the end of next week and will be on hand for selection during the decisive playoff phase of the league.

When Will Josh Hazlewood Join Back RCB?

Hazlewood has been RCB’s most consistent performer of the season and his return comes at a pivotal moment for the team led by Rajat Patidar.

“Josh is preparing to arrive in India by the end of last week (of May). He will be available for the franchise for the playoffs,” a well-informed source confirmed to Hindustan Times.

Josh Hazlewood’s Strong Contribution

Hazlewood’s addition is likely to make RCB’s bowling attack much stronger, especially in the absence of Ngidi. Up to now, the Australian pacer has bagged 18 wickets in only 10 games, which puts him at number three in the list of the tournament’s top wicket-takers.

Hazlewood went back home when the IPL 2025 was paused temporarily in the wake of rising tensions between India and Pakistan. But after the ceasefire and formal resumption of the tournament. But now he is set to return in what could be a make-or-break turn for RCB’s title hopes.
