RCB Star Bowler Yash Dayal Booked In Second Rape Case, This Time Involving A Minor In Jaipur – Know Further Details

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fast bowler Yash Dayal, one of the stars of their championship-winning IPL 2025 season, is again at the eye of a serious legal storm. For the second time, a rape case has been filed against him, this time in Jaipur, involving a minor.

As per a report retrieved by NDTV, the newest FIR has been filed at Sanganer Police Station in Jaipur. In the complaint, it has been accused that Dayal sexually assaulted a 17-year-old girl during a period of two years. The girl has accused Dayal of emotionally using her, telling her that he would help her achieve her dream of creating a career in cricket, to later take advantage of her trust.

She informed police that the initial incident occurred in a Sitapura hotel, while she was still a child. Since she was a minor, the case comes under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act one of India’s strictest pieces of legislation to safeguard children from abuse.

Previous Case From Ghaziabad

This new charge is only weeks after another serious charge was made. A Ghaziabad woman had previously accused Dayal of sexual exploitation under the false promise of marriage. That FIR had been registered at the Indirapuram Police Station under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), a provision concerning sexual intercourse on a false promise.

She met Dayal five years ago and began living with him, the complainant says, adding that he presented her to his family as his wife, except in document terms. He became abusive when she questioned him on the marriage issue, the complainant claims.

Dayal’s Response and Legal Developments

After the Ghaziabad case, Dayal had presented a denial petition rejecting all allegations. He said that the woman was trying to blackmail him and that she had no association with him beyond social media and general-level communication. He has insisted that their relationship was not romantic but that she forced him into committing marriage.

On 15 July 2025, Allahabad High Court granted him an interim protection from arrest in the Ghaziabad case, directing the police as well as the complainant to submit further information before taking a decision on the issue.

Mounting Legal Pressure

With a second case filed now this one against a minor and under the POCSO Act – the legal scenario of the young cricketer has become even more serious. Officials in Jaipur have made no official comments as yet, and the investigation continues.

With the case unfolding, both cases are expected to come under intense scrutiny, with deep repercussions for Dayal’s cricketing career and legal status.
