Ravi Kishan Outshines Aamir Khan? Fans React To Actor’s ‘Failed’ Laapataa Ladies Audition!

Laapataa Ladies hit theatres in December 2023, after the release director Kiran Rao revealed that Aamir Khan, who produced the film was eager to play the role of police officer ‘Shyam Manohar’ in the film. Aamir even auditioned for the part but it eventually went to Ravi Kishan.

Now, recently the footage of Aamir Khan’s audition has gone online and the internet is buzzing with reactions.

Aamir Khan’s Audition Video Goes Viral

Aamir Khan’s audition video was shared on his new YouTube channel, Aamir Khan Talkies, on Wednesday. The video shows him dressed in a police uniform and chewing paan. He is fully trying to fir himself in the character.

Fans React To The Audition

While many admired Aamir’s take on the role, most agreed that Ravi Kishan was the perfect fit. Social media was flooded with reactions praising the final casting decision. One user commented, “Aamir sir isn’t suited for this role. Ravi Kishan did a far better job.” Another added, “No doubt Aamir is a great actor, but Ravi Kishan nailed it. The role was made for him.”

“If Aamir played this role, the twist of the corrupt cop turning good wouldn’t have had the same impact,” one person also reacted.

About Laapataa Ladies

Directed by Kiran Rao, Laapataa Ladies follows the story of two brides mistakenly exchanged in rural India during the 90s. The film stars newcomers Sparsh Srivastava, Nitanshi Goel, and Pratibha Ranta. It was widely praised by critics and won 10 IIFA Awards, including Best Supporting Actor for Ravi Kishan.
