Rashmika Mandanna, who has gradually become one of South cinema’s favourite leading actresses, is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Mission Majnu alongside Sidharth Malhotra. Even before the release of her debut film, the actress bagged her second film Goodbye, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan. The film is being directed by Vikas Bahl and also stars Shivin Narang, Pavail and Gulati, and Neena Gupta. Details on Rashmika’s character are yet to be shared.

The actress was shooting in Mumbai for both films recently. She has wrapped up the first schedule of Goodbye. In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Rashmika shared her experience about working with the legend Amitabh Bachchan in Goodbye.

She further shares, “It has been amazing shooting with him. When you shoot for a long time, you gel with the other actors really well. It’s this blend, which gives performances that are really fun. I’ve been grateful enough to be doing that. We give out performances, and when people see your comfort, the director and everyone, they’re happy. It has been crazy.”

Rashmika had made her acting debut in the 2016 Kannada film Kirik Party, which was directed by Rishab Shetty. This film was an overwhelming response from the audience and emerged victorious at the box office. After the back-to-back successes of Puneeth Rajkumar’s Anjani Putra and Chamak, the gorgeous actress was christened as the ‘hat-trick’ heroine of Kannada cinema. Following this, Rashmika became an overnight celebrity in Tollywood with the massive success of Geetha Govindam.

Rashmika is well known for her in Telugu films like Dear Comrade, Devadas and Sarileru Neekevvaru. The actress was last seen in Sulthan. Co-starring Karthi, the romantic action was helmed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan. Rashmika will next be seen Pan-India film opposite Allu Arjun in Pushpa, written and directed by Sukumar.

The film is based on the red sanders smuggling in the Seshachalam Hills of the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh. The film was set to release in theatres on August 13, 2021. However, the makers postponed the release date due to the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. The film will now release in theatres on Christmas.
