Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again features leading names of the industry including Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Jackie Shroff. However, the most unexpected name is that of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s daughter. Well, do not get confused because Singh himself announced it during the trailer launch event held on October 7.

While addressing fans and media, Ranveer shared, “There are so many stars in this film. So, let me tell you this is my baby’s debut, baby Simmba. Deepika was pregnant during the shooting (of Singham Again),” he revealed as the audience burst into laughter.

Deepika plays the role of Shakti Shetty, the lady Singham, in the film and the trailer shows her in a very different avatar. She beats the goons, delivers witty one liners and shoots from the moving car – everything that a mass hero from a Hindi film would do.

Despite having such a pivotal role in the film, the actor was missing from the trailer launch event. Sharing the reason behind, Ranveer said, “I am on night duty, so I have come,” hinting at Deepika’s occupation at the moment.

Before leaving, he gave good wishes for Diwali and said, “Lady Singham, Simmba, and baby Simmba wish you a happy Diwali in advance. Please enjoy the trailer, celebrate Diwali with family, we need your love and blessings.”

Meanwhile, the film will be clashing with Anees Bazmee directorial Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. It stars Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan and Tripti Dimri in the lead role. Though the competition will be tough, the news of Salman Khan making a cameo in Rohit Shetty’s cop world has created a lot of pressure on Bhool Bhulaiyaa makers. Several fans have shared that they would watch the film only for the sake of Salman Khan, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will have to wait for a while.
