Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra will bring the epic saga of Ramayana to the big screen. They have unveiled the first glimpse of ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ and fans can’t keep their calm. Ranbir Kapoor will star as Lord Rama, Yash as Ravana and Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita. However, one name has made many fans surprised and happy as they get to know about the casting of Laxman.

Television star Ravie Dubey, who has also turned into a director and producer, will play the role of Laxman. For the unversed, Laxman is Lord Rama’s younger brother and accompanied him during his exile from Ayodhya for 14 years. In the tale of Ramayana, he also took part in the war against Ravana. Expressing his gratitude on starring Ramayana, Ravie Dubey wrote on Instagram, “हरि अनन्त हरि कथा अनन्ता … It’s The greatest honour of my life to be part of a story that has shaped generations. Welcome to the world of Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana, the immortal story of Rama vs Ravana. Grateful to walk this path, and to share it with all of you. Let’s celebrate this moment and together, step into the @worldoframayana.”

Earlier, Ravie wrapped up shooting for Ramayana with Ranbir Kapoor and was seen celebrating with the crew.

Meanwhile, sharing the teaser, producer Namit Malhotra wrote, “Ten years of Aspiration. Relentless Conviction to bring the Greatest Epic of all time to the World. An outcome through a collaboration of some of the world’s best to ensure that Ramayana is presented with the greatest amount of Reverence and Respect. Welcome to the Beginning. Let’s Celebrate the IMMORTAL story of Rama v/s Ravana. Our Truth. Our History.”Ramayana Part 1 will release in 2026 and the second part will arrive in theatres in 2027.
