Vashu Bhagnani, a renowned film producer in Bollywood, has been grabbing the headlines after he faced allegations of non-payment of dues. Amid the controversy, actor Rakul Preet, who is his daughter-in-law, was asked about him at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) 2024 green carpet but walked out without even hearing the complete question.

While asking about Vashu Bhagnani’s controversy with Rakul, the reporter said, There are a lot of reports in the media about Vashu sir, and a lot of people have said that…” The ‘Yaariyan’ star did not hear the complete question, simply said “sorry” and abruptly left.

Talking about her outfit at IIFA 2024, Rakul looked drop-dead gorgeous in the green bodycon dress.

Meanwhile, Vashu Bhagnani’s production house Pooja Entertainment witnessed losses after several big-budgeted movies produced by him flopped at the box office. The movies include ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, ‘Mission Raniganj’ and ‘Ganapath’, among others.

Later, Jackky Bhagnani and Vashu Bhagnani also filed a complaint against Zafar for siphoning the subsidy funds he took from Abu Dhabi authorities during the shoot of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. According to the copy of complaint, Bhagnani accused Ali Abbas Zaffar, Himanshu Mehra, Ekesh Ranadive and others of fraud, cheating, criminal intimidation, misappropriation of funds, fabrication of invoives, criminal conspiracy, money laundering, and harassment.

The two also alleged that Zafar took the help of a shell company in Abu Dhabi to carry out these illegal activities. They also claimed the defendants breached contractual obligations, failed to provide transparent financial records and also made unauthorised payment demands, prompting legal action.

He also shared that his experience of working in ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ was “painful” and does not want to work with them.

For the unversed, ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ starred Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in the lead roles and became a box office failure. The movie was reportedly made on a massive budget of Rs 350 crore but failed miserably and collected only around Rs 60 crore.

Meanwhile, Rakul Preet was last seen in the Tamil movie ‘Indian 2’, which received mixed response from the fans. She will next star in ‘De De Pyaar De 2’ with Ajay Devgn.
