Rajya Sabha Bypolls for four seats in J&K, one in Punjab scheduled on October 24: EC

The Election Commission (EC)  announced by-elections to fill four Rajya Sabha Seats in Jammu and Kashmir and one seat in Punjab. The voting is scheduled to be held on October 24, 2025. The counting will also take place on the same day, an hour after polling ends. The four seats in J&K have been lying vacant since 2021. Meanwhile, the seat in Punjab was emptied in July after the resignation of MP Sanjeev Arora. 

By-election announced for 4 Rajya Sabha seats from Jammu & Kashmir. Voting and counting to be held on October 24th. All four seats have been vacant since February 2021.
