Popular VJ-actress Mandira Bedi’s filmmaker-husband Raj Kaushal passed away today morning due to cardiac arrest. The unexpected piece of news was shared by Mandira’s close friend Rohit Roy. “See you on the other side my bro…. Till we raise hell again, REST IN PEACE,” read a part of his post. While several celebrities have been taking to social media to express grief over Raj’s sudden demise; we got in touch with TV celebrities who’ve shared their fond memories with Raj.

During an exclusive interview with Times Now Digital, popular TV stars like Karanvir Bohra, Minissha Lamba, Dipika Chikhlia shared their disbelief, after listening to the unfortunate news.

Raju Srivastav revealed that he had met Raj once and had found him fit and energetic. “We had spent a good time together cracking jokes. He had told me to narrate a joke and wanted to compete with me. I am very shocked”, he said.

He further continued, “This couple was famous to motivate people, with their fitness. I am very sad about the same. He was a talented director and we lost. He had made many ads. A new cinema was introduced and he used to do new experiments. To do new things, not everyone can take that risk or do the experiments. He took the same. I will miss him a lot”.

Ramayan actress Dipika Chikhlia expressed her heartfelt condolences to Mandira. “I have seen her as a fabulous actor. She has grown from a fabulous girl from Dilwale Dulhaniya”, she remarked.

Dipika further said, “She was a very confident working woman and I have heard that they had a settled and happy life. They were very private people. He was a perfect gentleman from what people in the industry have spoken about. It pains me to hear what has happened. I also feel, moments like these, young people are passing away. We all need to take care of mental health. These are just bad times. Either you are getting succumbed to bad mental health issues or physically falling ill”.

Minissha Lamba was in deep shock ever since she heard the news of Raj’s death. The actress said, “Raj Kaushal and I worked in his directorial venture Antony Kaun Hain and I always remembered him as a jovial, yet a very calm and put-together person. Always looking at the positive and with a gentle smile on his face. Though we hadn’t kept in touch much over the years. I was always happy to hear that he was doing so well in advertising.. Whenever we did meet it w. like years didn’t pass at all. Dear Raj your gentle energy will be missed. May you rest in peace. Strength and love to your loved ones”, she said.
