Megastar Rajinikanth, who was admitted in Apollo hospital on September 30 after complaining of severe stomach pain, got discharged . The actor returned to his Poes Garden residence and is currently recovering from the medical procedures he underwent.

The news agency ANI took to their X handle to confirm the same. The tweet read, “Actor Rajinikanth was discharged from Apollo Hospital at 11 PM last night: Chennai Police.”

The tweet further explained the reason behind his health issues. “Rajinikanth was admitted to Apollo Hospitals on 30th September. He had a swelling in the main blood vessel leaving his heart which was treated by a non-surgical, transcatheter method.”

Earlier, the hospital released a press note to clarify the matter and give an update on Rajinikath’s health. The note stated that he has been treated by Senior interventional Cardiologist, Dr Sai Satish, who placed a stent in the aorta completely sealing off the swelling (Endovascular Repair). “We would like to let his well-wishers and fans know that the procedure went, as planned. Mr Rajinikanth is stable and is doing well. He should be home in two days,” the hospital further notified through the press note.

Amid this, PM Narendra Modi also inquired about Rajinikanth’s health and sent him good wishes. Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai confirmed that PM Modi spoke to the superstar’s wife Latha Rajinikanth over the phone. “The PM was informed about the well-being of Thiru Rajinikanth post-surgery & PM wished him a speedy recovery,” he had shared.
