Raghav Chadha Gets Grand Welcome In Rajendra Nagar, Calls It His ‘Janmabhoomi & Karmabhoomi’

As the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 approach, the political atmosphere in the capital is heating up.  AAP MP Raghav Chadha led an energetic roadshow in the Rajendra Nagar Assembly constituency to garner support for party candidate Durgesh Pathak. The event witnessed tremendous enthusiasm from the public, with large crowds gathering to greet Chadha.

Chadha, who previously served as an MLA from Rajendra Nagar in 2020, reminded the people of his tenure and urged them to support Pathak this time. “This is the very seat where I served as an MLA. Today, I have come to seek votes for Durgesh Pathak,” he said, emphasizing that Rajendra Nagar remains close to his heart.

Flowers, Cheers, And ‘Jhadu’ Chants Fill the Streets

The roads of Rajendra Nagar were lined with AAP flags and echoing with slogans as party workers and supporters cheered for Chadha. People showered flowers on him, welcoming him with garlands and raising slogans in support of the Aam Aadmi Party’s symbol, the ‘Jhadu’.

During the roadshow, Chadha interacted warmly with locals, touching the feet of elders and seeking their blessings for victory. The atmosphere was electrifying, with party workers waving brooms and chanting slogans like “Paanch Saal Kejriwal” and “Jhadu Chalegi”.

Raghav Chadha’s Emotional Appeal

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Chadha called Rajendra Nagar his ‘janmabhoomi’ and ‘karmabhoomi’ (birthplace and workplace). “This is the seat that gave me the opportunity to serve as an MLA. Today, I am here asking for votes for Durgesh Pathak. When the election results are announced, Rajendra Nagar will be the first victory for AAP,” he declared confidently.

“Vote For Delhi’s Development” – Chadha Urges Public

During his speech, Chadha highlighted AAP’s governance achievements in education, healthcare, electricity, water, and public transport. He credited the Kejriwal government’s full majority for these improvements, contrasting it with previous governments that, according to him, failed to deliver on promises.

“If you want Delhi’s development to continue, support Durgesh Pathak,” he urged the people. He described Pathak as a dedicated leader who has been with AAP since its inception and assured that Rajendra Nagar would get a representative who would work tirelessly for its people.

Durgesh Pathak: “Chadha’s Presence Doubled Our Energy”

AAP candidate Durgesh Pathak expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming response. “With Raghav Chadha here, the enthusiasm among our supporters has doubled. The sea of people on the streets of Rajendra Nagar shows that the public is with us,” he said.

“AAP’s Model Is For The People, Not Freebies”

Countering opposition criticisms, Chadha emphasized that AAP’s governance is about public welfare, not free handouts. “What we provide – better schools, mohalla clinics, free bus rides for women, and 24/7 electricity – is all funded by taxpayers for taxpayers. This is not ‘freebies,’ but people’s rights,” he asserted.

He also took a dig at opposition parties, accusing them of having no concrete agenda. “When AAP provides free electricity, they call it freebies. But when huge corporate loans are waived, that’s not a freebie?” he questioned.

Press The ‘Jhadu’ Button To Take Delhi Forward

Ending his speech with an appeal to voters, Chadha urged Delhiites to give AAP a sweeping victory. “If you believe in developmental politics, support AAP. Press the ‘Jhadu’ button and take Delhi forward!” he said, predicting that AAP would secure over 62 seats once again.

The roadshow demonstrated AAP’s stronghold in Rajendra Nagar, with supporters displaying unwavering enthusiasm as the election race intensifies.
