Punjab Police Busts Smuggling Racket: 105 Kg Heroin, Firearms Seized – Drugs Transported From Pakistan Via Water Route

Punjab Police busted a cross-border smuggling racket and arrested two associates of Foreign-based drug smuggler, Navpreet Singh in an intelligence-led operation. Police informed that they have recovered 105 Kg Heroin, 31.93 Kg Caffeine Anhydrous, 17 Kg DMR, 5 foreign made Pistols and 1 Desi Katta. Punjab Police shared the information through X post on Sunday.

 

Punjab Police said that water-route was used to transport drugs from Pakistan. They added that big rubber tubes of tyres were also recovered, which indicate that narcotic contrabands have been smuggled through water way. 

Police informed that the two smugglers, Navjot Singh and Lovepreet Kumar have been arrested and FIR has been registered at PS State Special Operations Cell, Amritsar. The investigation is underway to establish backward and forward linkages to arrest more criminals involved in the drug cartel, added the Punjab Police.
