Puneeth Rajkumar, Sidharth Shukla and other actors under 50 who passed away due to heart attack

Death, however natural a conclusion to life may be, still manages to surprise all and sundry with its sudden arrival. While at times, it seems to be the natural progression to a long-lived life, at other times a life gets suddenly cut short when silent death comes knocking at one’s door at their prime.

Death gets centre-stage in the public domain, when someone of renown passes away. It may be sudden, swift or a long prolonged battle to live. But death has a way of attracting people in a morbidly curious way that makes for headlines. While the passage of life is but normal, it still manages to raise our eyebrows and send a shiver down a spine when the person who has passed away was t the prime of their life and in perfect physical shape.

Despite leading perfectly healthy lives, these actors under 50 passed away after suffering a heart attack:

Puneeth Rajkumar

Leading Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar died of a heart attack at the age of 46 this week. Puneeth, who performed as a lead in 29 movies was cremated with State honours. As per reports, Puneeth started having chest pains after working out for two hours at a gym. He was rushed to the hospital but his heart stopped when he arrived there.

Sidharth Shukla

One of the most shocking deaths in 2021, Balika Vadhu and Bigg Boss 13 fame Sidharth Shukla died on September 2 of a heart attack. He was 40 at the time of his death. As per reports, Sidharth complained of chest pain at his residence in Oshiwara, Mumbai, around 9 am, before collapsing. He was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

Abir Goswami

Predominantly a television actor, Abir died on 31 May 2013 at the age of 38 due to cardiac arrest while working on a treadmill. He had not only worked in Hindi serials, but in Bengali movies Ratparir Rupkatha, Banobhumi, among others.

Aarthi Agarwal

An actress who predominantly worked in Telugu cinema, Aarthi was born in New Jersey, before making her debut with Paagalpan at the age of 16. Incidentally, it was Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty who had discobered her. She worked with several top actors down South in her shot career, sharing screenspace with Chiranjeevu, Nagarjuna, Prabhas, Mahesh Babu and Jr NTR. The actress died on June 6, 2015 after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Amit Mistry

A well known theatre and television actor, Amit Mistry passed away from a heart attack on April 23, 2021. He was 47 at the time of his death. Amit, who was working on the show Bandish Bandits as Devendra Rathod at the time of his death had also enacted in a number of popular serials like Tenali Rama and Woh and had appeared as a character actor in films Bhoot Police, A Gentleman, Shor in the City etc.

Inder Kumar

Bollywood actor Inder Kumar, best known for films like Khiladiyon Ka Khiladri, Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye and Gaja Gamini, he passed away on July 28, 2017 after suffering a cardiac arrest. The actor, who appeared on television in the Star Plus serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi playing the part of Mihir Virani opposite Smriti Irani in 2002, was 44 at the time of his death.
