Pune: Good News! City To Get Four New Vande Bharat Express Trains – Check Ticket Fare, Expected Routes And More

In a good news for commuters, the Indian Railways have decided to add 4 more Vande Bharat Express Trains from Pune, making it 6 in total in the city. This initiative has been taken to bring relief to the passengers and make the traveling more time-sufficient, comfortable and benefiting for them, according to a report in Pune Pulse.

Here are the details about new routes, ticket price and more:

Current Existing Route

At present, the Vande Bharat Trains are being operated in Pune in these routes:

  • Pune-Hubballi
  • Pune-Kolhapur
  • Mumbai-Solapur (via Pune) 

Expected New Routes

The new trains are expected to cover the following routes:

  • Pune to Shegaon
  • Pune to Vadodara
  • Pune to Secunderabad
  • Pune to Belagavi

Fair Details

On the Pune-Kolhapur route, a one-way ticket is priced at ₹560, with the fare for a special coach set at ₹1,135. This train runs three times a week: on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

For the Pune-Hubballi route, the standard seat costs ₹1,530, while the special coach fare is ₹2,780.

Total Vande Bharat Trains Launched This Year

This year, Indian Railways introduced over 30 new Vande Bharat Express trains, increasing the total count significantly up to 136 by the end of 2024. The Expansion of the rail network represents a significant step towards the ambitious goal of linking all major cities and regions with the indigenous train services.
