Priyanka Chopra made her debut in the film industry with Tamil drama Thamizhan back in 2002. Close to twenty years have gone by and the actress has managed to make a mark for herself. From a Tamil film to taking over Bollywood to entering Hollywood with a bang, PeeCee has done it all and continues to do more. She was last seen in Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne-starrer The Matrix Resurrections. She essayed the role of Sati. The film was released on December 21, 2021, and now, Priyanka has opened up about working with such a talented star cast.

The actress, in a recent interview, shared that she was star-struck when she first saw the star cast of  American science fiction. She had a major fangirl moment so she had to talk herself down. Priyanka told Harper’s Bazaar Arabia that she sat in her chair, gathered her strength and then she went back to the set. Well, seeing Jessica Henwick, Neil Patrick Harris, Carrie-Anne Moss and others together could send chills down the spine for anyone, right?

“I remember the first time I walked out. And [the cast] was all standing in front of me. I was just like… I took a moment, I turned back and I sat in my chair and gathered my strength. I came back to set, saying to myself, ‘Wow, don’t fangirl here Pri,” the actress said.

She further added that she was highly fascinated by the film and the graphics and she knew she wanted to be a part of it. “I remember being perplexed when I watched [The Matrix]. And I was like, how did they do that? It changed how we see cinema and changed the technology in cinema. So I’m really excited to just be a fly on the wall and be a part of this incredible cast,” she said.

This is Priyanka’s first magazine shoot after she welcomed a baby girl via surrogacy with hubby Nick Jonas. She posed for Harper’s Bazaar Arabia in a statement yellow dress

Priyanka was recently in the news for welcoming a baby girl. Nick and PeeCee shared this good news with their fans and well-wishers via an official statement that read: “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family.”

On the work front, Priyanka will be seen in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaara with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif. She also has Citadel series with Richard Madden
