Ahead of the phase 2 polls in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched a sharp attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Congress, saying even the Congress no longer believes in the RJD’s promises. PM expressed his confidence over  NDA victory and said, “Bihar mein phir se sushasan sarkar.”

While addressing a public rally in Bihar’s Aurangabad, PM Modi said, “Even the Congress does not have faith in their (RJD) promises. Congress does not even talk about the RJD’s manifesto. Bihar has also rejected RJD’s package of lies. The voters of Bihar trust Narendra-Nitish’s track record and support our strong intentions. It is confirmed from the first phase of the polls, ‘Phir ek baar, NDA sarkar… Bihar mein phir se sushasan sarkar…”

Prime Minister Modi showcased the NDA’s performance and his government’s commitment to fulfilling promises. He said the “Modi-Nitish track record is in front of everyone”, emphasizing that they do what they say.

He added, “Modi-Nitish track record is in front of everyone. I do what I say. I said that the Ram Temple would be built, did that happen or not?… I had promised that the wall of Article 370 would collapse. Did that happen or not?.. I declared from the land of Bihar that the Pahalgam terror attack will be avenged. All of us have seen Pakistan getting destroyed in Operation Sindoor…”

On Thursday, the 18 districts in this phase: Patna, Darbhanga, Madhepura, Saharsa, Muzaffarpur, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Vaishali, Samastipur, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Munger, Sheikhpura, Nalanda, Buxar, Bhojpur, and Bhagalpur (partial).

Among 3.75 crore voters (1.98 crore male, 1.77 crore female, 758 third gender), 10.72 lakh were new electors post-special intensive revision, reducing the statewide roll to 7.24 crore.

Issues ranged from Nitish Kumar’s governance and law-and-order record to Tejashwi’s social justice agenda, with caste dynamics and Jan Suraaj’s potential spoiler role under scrutiny.
