Prime Minister Narendra Modi  inaugurated the ninth edition of the India Mobile Congress 2025, Asia’s largest telecom, media, and technology event, at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi.

While addressing the gathering, PM Modi said the country’s success in the telecom sector reflects the strength of the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision. He reflected on how a country that once faced issues with 2G and 5G now has commendable signal reception in all parts.

The Prime Minister further stated that digital connectivity is no longer a privilege or a luxury; rather, it has become an integral part of every Indian’s life. He highlighted that the India Mobile Congress is not limited to mobile phones only, but has become Asia’s biggest technology forum in just a few years.

The Prime Minister also detailed that the country has recently launched its made-in-India 4G stack, which is a major indigenous achievement for the country. In his speech, he stated that India is now emerging as the world’s second-largest telecom market and the second-largest 5G market.
