PM Accuses Soren Government Of Looting Jharkhand, Vows BJP Will Target The Corrupt

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a strong critique of the Hemant Soren-led Jharkhand government on Sunday, accusing it of widespread corruption and illegal mining activities. Referring to the alleged mining scam in Jharkhand, he highlighted significant cash recoveries in the state and accused the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Congress coalition of misappropriating public funds.

“The Soren government has looted Jharkhand,” said PM Modi while addressing a rally in Bokaro. He assured the public that a BJP-led government would hold those responsible accountable, pledging to pursue harsh punishments for corrupt officials. “The money that belongs to you will be used for your welfare and for the future of your children,” he added.

Allegations of Illegal Wealth Accumulation

PM Modi further criticized JMM leaders, claiming they had amassed “crores of rupees through sand mining,” and questioned the source of these large cash piles, referring to them as “mountains of notes.” He asked the people of Jharkhand if they thought this was their money, implying it was illegally taken from the public.

Comparison with Previous Congress-led Government

Taking aim at the earlier Congress-led central government under Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, PM Modi pointed out that, from 2004 to 2014, Congress struggled to allocate even Rs 80,000 crore to Jharkhand. In contrast, he noted that since 2014, the BJP has allocated over Rs 3 lakh crore to the state, emphasizing a commitment to Jharkhand’s development.

BJP-NDA’s Vision for Jharkhand

Reiterating the BJP-NDA’s dedication to Jharkhand’s growth, PM Modi stated, “We created Jharkhand, and we will develop it. Those who opposed the formation of this state will never work for its progress.” The Prime Minister’s speech emphasized BJP’s vision to drive progress and accountability in Jharkhand.
