Pep Guardiola the Man City’s manager has taunted the Premier League’s leading team Liverpool about how they could not match Man City’s record of 100 points. Though Liverpool is leading the table with a seven points difference from Arsenal, they still were not able to beat the record made by Man City in 2017-18 season when Guardiola won the Premier League title for the first time. Man City is hoping to win their fifth title but the chances are slim as they are 16 points behind Liverpool, yet Guardiola spoke about his team’s past rule. “We got all the records,” he said, reminding rivals of Man City’s top deeds even as they lag in this year’s fight for the title.

Guardiola Fires Back At Critics, Challenges Liverpool On Records

Pep Guardiola fired back at critics of Man City’s rough patch. He stated about their past wins and said that “We set all records in England. Who gets 100 points now in today’s game? I’m still waiting.” He talked about the fact that how even though Liverpool has a good run and are leading the Premier League table, they still can not hit 100 points this year. “They can get 99, not 100,” he added. Guardiola did say Man City is not in their best form currently. But he reminded all of the high bar they once set, like winning four titles back-to-back.

Guardiola Acknowledges Man City’s Struggles Amid Tougher Competition

Guardiola said Man City’s game play has gotten worse as they face more rivals, hurt players, and tiredness. Talking about the competitive Premier league, Guardiola said that “We earned a bad season. We were not steady and players weren’t at their best.” He also talked about the fact that how Man City’s rare trouble with keeping the ball “Now we struggle with the ball. It wasn’t like this before and I can’t fix it now. We struggle because we are humans.”
