For the past few days, actor Pearl V Puri has been discussed on various platforms. On June 4, 2021, the actor was sent to judicial custody in connection with an alleged rape case. For the unversed, the actor has been arrested for allegedly raping a minor. The police are investigating the case and till now, various claims have been shared. While many are of the opinion that Pearl is innocent, there are also a few who claim that he should be punished.
It is being reported that it is an old case and the father of the minor claimed that Pearl and 5 others sexually molested his daughter on the sets of the show Bepanahah Pyaar Hai, while she was there with her mother, who is also an actress. Ekta Kapoor, who was producing the show denied such claims and a viral audio clip surfaced online, in which Ekta can be heard talking to the alleged rape victim’s mother, in which she claimed that Pearl is innocent.
And now, the minor’s mother and her extended family have issued an official statement, in which they have declared Pearl innocent, adding that the whole case is false. They have claimed that the case was filed by the minor’s father to prove that her mother is not capable of taking care of the daughter.
The minor’s parents are living separately for many years and are legally battling for the custody of their daughter. Earlier, the father had claimed in the court that the mother is not capable of taking care of the daughter because she is an actress. And now, the extended family stated, “We as the extended family would like to let you all know that she (minor’s mother) has been in an extremely toxic marriage for 10 years and does not have her daughter also since 2 years. We including her support Pearl V Puri and hope that justice will come out soon.”
In the second screenshot, the family shared that the minor’s mother is struggling to bring her life back to normal and has been asking for everyone’s support in the battle. “She is totally shattered and shall find her ground to come out in the open. She needs your support fully as she herself supports Pearl Puri because Pearl is innocent. She also understands that Pearl has been unnecessarily framed and is all out to support him,” the statement read.
They ended the note by writing that this is one of the “cheapest” screenplays ever written by the minor’s father.
