Pat Cummins and Co ended up reclaiming the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for the first time after 2014. Australia defeated India by six wickets in the fifth Test played at the Sydney Cricket Ground and won the series by 3-1. The Aussies totally exposed the Indian batting lineup throughout the series giving them a reality check on how they need to work up on their technique. Australian captain Pat Cummins led the charge with both bat and ball, wherein he always rose to the occasion and helped his team get out of trouble. The latter picked up wickets when it was needed the most whereas scored runs by coming down the order.

Cummins also didn’t neglect his son and always answered whenever he called ‘Dadda’. The heartfelt moment was caught on the camera by the journalists present in the room. After winning the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Pat Cummins once again proved how good of a captain he has been for Australia in the past few years. The latter has won every trophy including the ODI World Cup, World Test Championship mace, Ashes, and now the BGT. The only trophy that Cummins hasn’t won till now is the ICC Champions Trophy, which he is expected to achieve in the coming two months.
