Passengers Of Noida And Ghaziabad Need Not Visit Delhi Airport; They Can Take Their Flights To Bengaluru, Goa, And Kolkata From…

Passengers of Delhi-NCR and Ghaziabad will not need to travel to Delhi airport this summer, as Tata’s Air India Express has announced direct flights to Bengaluru, Goa, and Kolkata from Ghaziabad’s Hindon Airport starting March 1. The airline will operate from all three airports in the Delhi-NCR region. Sources also indicated that the airline will begin operations from the Noida International Airport once it commences commercial operations, expected to begin by April 30 or possibly earlier.

Sources within the company stated that they aim to begin operations from day one at Noida International Airport. Currently, the company operates 100 flights and is expected to receive 15 more soon. All three airports are key catchment zones, and the airline has decided to operate from these locations. Air India Express is the only airline that has announced plans to start operations from Hindon Airport.

The spokesperson of Noida International Airport stated that they are working swiftly to begin operations at the airport. They have made significant progress in the validation process and are collaborating with the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to obtain their license.

The Airport Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) is currently examining the capex expenditure, after which the tariff for the airport will be determined. It is expected that airline ticket sales will begin in February or March.
