After winning bronze in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team with Manu Bhaker, Sarabjot Singh is in the spotlight again. His recent choice to decline a government job offer has earned him widespread admiration from sports fans. Sarabjot Turns Down Government Post

Sarabjot Singh, who won a medal in Paris, has made a significant decision. The Haryana government offered him a Deputy Director role, but he declined to focus on his shooting career.

Sarabjot says that although his family encourages him to take a stable job, he is committed to focusing solely on shooting.

Sarabjot Singh, who won a medal at the Paris Olympics 2024 and made India proud, has received a job offer as Deputy Director in the sports departments of Haryana and Punjab. He has also been offered ₹2.50 crore in cash by the Haryana government. Haryana’s Sports Minister, Sanjay Singh, announced this reward.

‘The job offer is good, but right now I want to focus on my shooting. My family suggested taking the job, but I remain committed to my sport. I don’t want to go back on the decisions I’ve made, so I’m not taking the job for now,’ he told ANI.
