After winning bronze in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team with Manu Bhaker, Sarabjot Singh is in the spotlight again. His recent choice to decline a government job offer has earned him widespread admiration from sports fans. While many athletes seek job security, Sarabjot shows his dedication by rejecting the position to focus fully on his sport.

Sarabjot Turns Down Government Post

Sarabjot Singh, who won a medal in Paris, has made a significant decision. The Haryana government offered him a Deputy Director role, but he declined to focus on his shooting career.

Sarabjot says that although his family encourages him to take a stable job, he is committed to focusing solely on shooting.

Sarabjot Singh, who won a medal at the Paris Olympics 2024 and made India proud, has received a job offer as Deputy Director in the sports departments of Haryana and Punjab. He has also been offered ₹2.50 crore in cash by the Haryana government. Haryana’s Sports Minister, Sanjay Singh, announced this reward.

‘The job offer is good, but right now I want to focus on my shooting. My family suggested taking the job, but I remain committed to my sport. I don’t want to go back on the decisions I’ve made, so I’m not taking the job for now,’ he told ANI.
