During the campaign for the new representative of the West Bengal government this time, many popular names from the world of Bengali entertainment had joined the field. While Bengali actresses such as Nusrat Jahan and Mimi Chakraborty have been prominent faces of Trinamool Congress (TMC), Srabonti Chatterjee joined BJP this election. With many artistes joining politics too, we wondered if one of the most popular faces in Bengali cinema, Parambrata Chatterjee would ever join West Bengal politics, or better, if he plans to be a part in the near or far-off future.
In an exclusive interaction with Times Now Digital, Parambrata Chatterjee not only opened up about his views on joining politics but also shared insights on being politically vocal, whether or not he chooses a political pedestal to do so.
We asked Parambrata Chatterjee if he has any plans to join West Bengal politics. He replied
Parambrata concluded by saying that however, if somebody wants to join politics, that’s their call, “an individual’s own.”
On the movie front, the actor has been receiving good reviews for his OTT platform Hoichoi-released film Tangra Blues. He is also busy with his directorial debut Abhijaan, which is based on the life of Bengali legend late Soumitra Chatterjee. Apart from Bengali films, Parambrata has co-starred with Anushka Sharma in Pari and Vidya Balan in Kahaani.
