Union Home Minister Amit Shah  reiterated that Pakistan has itself proven that it sponsors terrorism. Addressing the Border Security Force Investiture Ceremony in Delhi, Shah highlighted the success of Operation Sindoor that he referred as PM’s strong political will, accuracy of Intelligence agencies and lethality demonstrated by the Indian Army. He stated that India has been facing Pakistan-sponsored terrorism for many decades and it had not been given a proper response.

Referring to Pakistan’s actions following Operation Sindoor, including cross-border shelling, drones and inflammatory rhetoric by its leaders, Shah remarked that Pakistan proved itself as sponsor of terrorism. He asserted that while India attacked terrorists, Pakistan took it as an attack on itself.

“We believed that we had attacked the terrorists but Pakistan proved that it sponsors terrorism. Pakistan, considering the attack on terrorists as an attack on itself…When the Pakistani army tried to attack our civilian bases and our military establishments, the Indian army gave a strong reply. It demonstrated their firepower by attacking their airbases,” said Shah.

Furthermore, the Union Home Minister added that the world is praising the bravery of the Indian Armed forces for Operation Sindoor.

Shah said, “In Pahalgam, innocent people were killed by ascertaining their religion in front of their families by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists…Operation Sindoor is the answer to the attack and today the world is praising the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces.”

During his address, Shah praised the Border Security Force personnel and commended them for guarding our borders vigilantly. “When it was decided that one force will provide security on one border, BSF was given the responsibility of guarding the two most difficult borders – Bangladesh and Pakistan – and given your capabilities, you have secured it very well,” Shah said.
