One-Stop Platform: Railway Launches New App, Allowing Train Passengers to Easily File Complaints and Book Tickets

A brand-new passenger app named RailOne has been released by Indian Railways. This app unites all railway services in one location. One app can now be used for platform ticket booking, complaints, feedback, train information, and ticket buying.

RailOne App: One-Stop Solution for All

The Ministry of Railways claims that the RailOne app will offer all services in one location, including platform ticket purchase, reserved (IRCTC), unreserved (UTS), and PNR status, train tracking, coach positioning, Rail Madad, and trip feedback. The goal is to offer a smooth digital experience and spare travelers from the trouble of downloading numerous apps.

Single Login Single Password

The National Train Enquiry System, eCatering, Rail Madad, UTS, and IRCTC Rail Connect will no longer require separate apps. All these services will be available on RailOne. It will be unnecessary to keep track of different passwords for every app. With RailOne, a single login will be sufficient to access all services. The login credentials for passengers who currently use IRCTC RailConnect or UTSonMobile can be used to access RailOne.

Digital Wallet for Quicker Payments

This will have a digital wallet that would enable quicker payment for things like tickets. A biometric login or mPIN will ensure security. The process of registering for new users is fairly easy. All you need is your mobile number and an OTP to access the app. Both the Google Play Store and the Apple software Store offer this software for download.

Passengers found it difficult to manage all of these apps. By consolidating them into a single platform, RailOne will save them both time and memory.

Nowadays, a lot of train services operate on several apps—

UTS: For booking tickets without a reservation

IRCTC Rail Connect: To book a reserved seat

Rail Madad: For grievances or comments

NTES: For Real-Time Tracking and Train Status

eCatering Food on Schedule: For orders of food

Over the past two months, the IRCTC app has frequently seen server outages and technical issues, particularly during Tatkal booking. On social media, some passengers have voiced their displeasure and tagged Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav in their posts. It is anticipated that RailOne will fix these problems.
