One dead during TVK chief Vijay’s rally in Tamil Nadu’s Salem due to…

A man died due to heatstroke during Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay’s rally in Salem, Tamil Nadu, on Friday. He reportedly collapsed after fainting and later succumbed to his condition. According to India Today, police sources said the man who died at the rally was a heart patient. Last year in September, a stampede at Vijay’s rally in Karur killed 41 people, raising serious concerns about crowd safety.

To prevent any similar incident, the Salem rally was organised with strict security measures. A large number of police personnel were deployed, vehicles were checked at entry points, and traffic diversions were put in place to control crowds and ensure safety.

During the rally, TVK chief Vijay said that his offer to share power with allies has now become a big political issue in Tamil Nadu. He described it as a “political bomb” in state politics.

In an exclusive interview with India Today, Vijay said that Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) will contest the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections on its own. He said he is confident that the party will win a full majority and form the next government. He also made it clear that TVK will not join the INDIA bloc or the NDA before or after the elections.
