Kaun Banega Crorepati is back with its thirteenth season and Amitabh Bachchan has returned as the host of the show for the twelfth time. The show airs from Monday to Friday at 9 pm. Every Friday, it is a special episode and famous celebrities come on the show to play the game for charity or a special cause. For this week’s Shandaar Shaniwar episode, veteran actress Hema Malini and filmmaker Ramesh Sippy will sit on the hot seat. It will be a Sholay special episode. Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, and Ramesh Sippy will be seen revisiting their film Sholay and sharing anecdotes from the same.
Several promos of the show are going viral on the web and one particular has grabbed our attention. In the same, the host of the show, Amitabh was seen asking Hema what women carry in their “tiny” clutch. The actress’ answer left Big B surprised. Here’s what happened.
After one question, Big B started asking Hema, “Hema Ji hum aisey hi puch raha tha ki kai bar hum dekhtey hai ki ghar ki jitni bhi mahilae hai vo clutch lekar ke chalti hai (Hema Ji, I wanted to ask that many times I have seen women stepping out of the house with clutch)” and then he stops to think, and Hema Malini interrupts him and completed his statement by adding, “usme kya hota hai (What is there in the clutch)?” Hearing the same, Big B added,” yahi puchna walla tha main. Arey itna chota sa hai, kya kya bhariyega usme.” (I wanted to ask the same thing. It is very small, what all can come in it.)
Hema explained and said, “compact, lipstick aur bahut kam paise.” (Compact, lipstick, and a small amount of money)
Amused by the answer, Big B asked, “Par ek bar to ap log shringar karke bahar nikaltey hai na, to fir iski zarorat kya padti hai?” (You do makeup and then step out of the house, then what is the need for all this?)
Hema replied, “Thoda touchup kartey rehne ka” (for little touch-ups).
Hema and Ramesh will be donating the winning amount to the Hema Malini Foundation that works towards the education and medical treatment of children in Mathura. The show will air on October 15, 2021.
